It's because the Chargers ran the first kickoff back for a touchdown. After that I thought for sure the Colts would win. I could be wrong, but these are off the top of my head.

LSU vs. MSU 2004. MSU runs back opening kickoff and loses
Colts vs. Bears Superbowl. Bears run back opening kickoff and lose
Florida vs. OSU BCS. OSU runs back opening kickoff and loses

Do I remember correctly? Seems like a bad omen.

That's what I said when they hired him.

I understood getting rid of ****enheimer, cause he was an idiot, but why hire an even bigger idiot? At least ****enheimer could get you to the playoffs, this bafoon won't even do that.

The GM for San Diego needs to be fired. He turned a Super Bowl caliber team into a joke by hiring Turner.

I agree he needs to fired, but it is because he holds grudges like a two year old and fired Schottenheimer because of it. I will never understand the Schottenheimer hate.

Ive always hated him. With Cleveland, KC, and San Diego he always had a good/great team........IN THE REGULAR SEASON. He's one of the biggest choke-artists when it comes to the post-season.

That's why I understood SD firing him, but not if they were gonna go get a total dipsh!t to replace him.

Marty got tossed (cannon fodder) resulting from the lack of discipline going into the playoffs. Discipline would have prevented children from being children. A head had to roll for that.

He finally started making calls with a pair last year during the regular season but reverted back to conservative during the play offs. Sure there was friction with the GM but Marty likes to pick his players and AJ has an ego for his history of grabbing great pics. Guess after Marty leaving with a mountain of talent, talent locked in for the next few years, who as a head coach wouldn’t be successful! ANSWER: Norve Turner.

Wish Brees was back but really knowing he is in NO is comforting. :)

That was a lose-lose situation for him. If he runs it too much and they lose, it's because of "Martyball". If they throw it around and lose, they'll wonder "Why didn't you run it? You have the best back in the NFL"
