First of all, they would have had to physically restrain me from getting back on the field. Musberger said "this young man has a bright future in the NFL." No he doesn't. Kind of a pussy move especially since he said he really didn't feel any pain. Now, i think the moral of the story is never take Colt McCoy to a casino because this dude has some terrible luck. Last year the voters totally screwed Texas and McCoy was kept out of the Big 12 Championship Game, thus keeping them from going to the BCSNCG. He was pretty much robbed from being the Heisman Trophy winner also. This season Ndomakung Suh ravages him in the Big 12 Championship game keeping him from winning the Heisman, which at that point in the season was his to lose because Tebow had already lost it in Atlanta. Gets to the BCSNCG and is knocked out on the first drive. I think if in 10 years we read that Colt took to drinking and pills, and other heavy drugs, and ends it with a revolver in his mouth, i wont really be mad at him.
I, also, understood that he had numbness in his hand/foot. Ever have your hand/foot just go to "sleep"? You won't run very far if the foot is numb or throw very far, if the hand is numb. My daughter had her foot under her as she sat on the couch. When she got up, her foot was asleep. When she stood on it, her ankle turned cracking her foot. If his arm/hand was numb, it might not have actually "hurt" but could have been ineffective.
colt mccoy=pu**y ...lol.... Timmy Tebow would've played(been waiting for someone to say it).. Think about the Bryon Leftwich performance where his oline carried him to the next play thats the toughness one would like to see from their leader/QB. Playing in the national championship is a once in a lifetime experience.
That was just my opinion about him not returning, i certainly don't think its a popular one, or shared by too many people. But does anyone think Colt McCoy has a bright future in the NFL?
Nope...Texas tried to eliminate any type of competition for Colt imo...I was just never really impressed with him and would pick Tebow over him
I thought his "injury" might've been similar to the one that caused Craig Steltz to sit out for most of the '07 BCSNCG? He lost feeling after a shoulder "stinger" of some sort, corrrect?
