in omaha. first of all, i cannot believe that they changed the weekday games starting times from 1 pm and 6 pm to 3:30 pm and 8 pm. that absolutely sucks. i guess i am for south carolina and tcu. sc for the obvious sec affiliation, and tcu because i like the underdog and i believe this is their first year to omaha. i think that there is a 30-40% of thunderstorms the first 3 days. not good. that is gonna make late games start really late if there are any rain delays because of the stupid time change for week games. last year at rosenblatt. next year, going to t.d. ameritrade park just isnt gonna have the same ring to it. i am anxious to see how the crowds are since this is the last year at rosenblatt. for those of you that have been here before, they have put up a fence around the perimeter of the stadium so you have to get in line to get in to then stand in line for ga and for tix upgrades. i have a feeling this is gonna be another omaha goat rope. we shall see. but i find it hysterical that they put up a fence just to tear the fence down in a few weeks. even with this being the last year at rosenblatt, there is no way the crowds are gonna be worse than they were on 05 when both texas and nebraska were in the cws. watch for me on tv. i'll be in the purple and gold with the greenie in tow.:grin:
well, i got an interesting story from our server at dinner tonight. seems the fence isnt for crowd control like i thought, but it had something to do with tailgating. seems that there are a lot of people who tailgate in the same spot every year. and they put up their tent frames early to stake out their spot. the fence was put up so people couldnt set up their frames. they actually had to have some sort of special meeting to decide if they were gonna cave and allow people to go ahead and put up their frames early there was such a fit over it. i didnt catch what the outcome of the meeting was.
Good morning tf'ers. Ahhh, omaha. Hurry up and stand in line. In the ga line where i will be for the next two hours till they open the stadium. Our reserved seats today are only for the later game. We may not be playing but lsu fans are everywhere. I talked to a couple of guys on our way from the parking lot that were in p and g. One was a fb walk-on. We passed a string of lsu tailgating tents and I have seen here and there fans in line with lsu wear. Lsu loves omaha!
Make that lsu fans everywhere. This is great! I know ucla doesn't play till tonight but I haven't seen a single bruin fan. I. Anxious to see what kind of showing they make.
wow. there were lsu fans every where today. i'm pretty sure you couldnt swing a dead cat without hitting an lsu fan. its great to see tiger fans so tuned into college baseball even when lsu isn't here. as for the game, there is only one word for fsu today..... lollygaggers. "You guys. You lollygag the ball around the infield. You lollygag your way down to first. You lollygag in and out of the dugout.
