I remember in 2005 during the preseseason edition of College Gameday that Herbie said Miami would be the champs that year...which nothing could be further from the truth...as LSU easily disposed of the Hurricanes...in the Peach Bowl. Then, last year...Holtz was claiming ND was going to win it all...which may be the only thing that COULD be further from the truth than Miami winning it all the year before! LSU easily disposed of the Irises in the Sugar Bowl. This year, Corso was pushing Cal as the best team in the preseason, and especially after the UcheaT game. Of course, we see how that panned out. Point is, it shouldn't be surprising to see these geniuses make eronious predictions...like Miles to UM!   I must give Herbie props, though...for being one of the first and definitely one of the most vocal to say LSU should be #2...after the way things shook out Saturday night. :crystal:
True. Most of these guys either don't have enough b@lls to not pick the flavor of the month team, or really think that these subpar teams are actually as good as hyped to be.:geauxtige LETS GET IT BOYS!!!!:crystal:
Ditto....I think you are right, if he was going to lobby for anyone else, it might have looked even worse. Now boys, bring the :crystal: home.
Well, truth is when ya get right down to it, their guesses are as good as ours. The only difference is, they get paid for doing it. :tigereye::tigereye::crystal::crystal::tigereye::tigereye:
The biggest difference is that even if we are always wrong, we can go back to our jobs on Monday - at some point they can't.
