LSU is in the heads of aTm fans. They are desperate to beat us as we're a recruiting and geographical rival they've never beaten since joining the SEC. They're also turning on Jimbo saying last week's late collapse to Auburn was UCLA Sumlinesque. Gotta keep the streak alive.
Well if Washington, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma and WVU all don't win their conference, then LSU winning out would be in the playoffs, as crazy as that seems. Georgia is losing to Alabama. With Notre Dame losing their QB, they will lose at least 1 game. I think they take a 2 loss LSU over a 1 loss Notre Dame. It's definitely going to get crazy.
Washington State even as the PAC champ wouldn't jump a 10-2 LSU. Then, these 3 things need to happen: OSU-Michigan winner needs to lose the B1G championship game. Okie-WV loser needs to beat the other in Big 12 conference title game. Notre Dame needs to lose a game. I don't think they will but the best hope is that #13 Syracuse can somehow pull off the upset. A worse Cuse team did beat Clemson in their championship year. The Irish losing is not absolutely necessary. It would be better if they did because it's possible that LSU could be the 3rd seed and ND 4th if they lose and those other things fall into place. That would be better for us to play #2 Clemson in the first round.
How do you come to that conclusion? If I'm understanding you correctly, you're saying a 10-2 vs an 12-1 conference champ and the two loss team gets the nod? I can see a lot of people crying "conference champ" in that discussion. What's messed up about that cry is we're looking at a 11-1 Wazzou facing a three or four loss PAC South representative. It certainly won't do much for their resume (which already needed help with OOC.)
