    Agree.

I think the playoffs will evolve to 8 teams. The big question is when???

I was watching one of the nothing college football games last night and at half time I was treated to phil steele's picks. Love these guys who have clout like working in college football for a while so all of a sudden what they say matters. Anyway, I digress he picked the gumps to win 34-17 and he is calling it his "best bet of the week".

Don't see that one, just me.

Yep. You get one slip up game and then go prove it against the rest of the big boys. Hopefully this would let in other teams that might not play anyone that go undefeated. College football doesn't get to many Cinderella teams to make it to the big dance, this might change that.

Playoff is awesome. I wish there could be a flexible playoff, but I doubt enough people could get behind that (too weird).

I like an 8 team playoff if 1 team per conference, including minor conferences, is allowed in for teams rated in the top 15 or 20, and then fill in remaining slots with highest seeded teams. But if you just do top 8, I think you're good with 4. I don't believe more than 4 teams have ever had a legit claim at the NC unless you include minor conference teams.

I don't got sympathy for 1 loss teams. Undefeated teams, yes.

I love the college football debate. All conferences are ≠. All undefeated teams are ≠. All one loss teams are ≠. This has made for may a late night beer drinking debates.

That many holds gets the gumps a 2 td win? I don't see this happening. Again I have been wrong before, I will be wrong again (more than likely still wont admit it though ;))

Todd Graham proposed 8 team. 5 conf Champs and 3 at large.

I'm not sold on the conf champ getting an automatic bid. The acc is awful and the big ten is moderately better.

While that plan would be better than 4 I think it still keeps some very deserving teams out.

There are only a handful of truly deserving teams at most. Every major conference team has a chance on the field, so if you don't win your conference then your destiny lies in another team dropping the ball. Minor conference teams have only so much control over their SOS, but if your OOC schedule is pathetic then you didn't do enough. If you use champions but put a rating cutoff, you eliminate minor conference teams with crappy schedules and allow the best major conference teams who aren't conference champs in.
