This is absolutely the truth. Even the eye test doesn't back Bama higher than Florida. The past is the past. This is why polls blow. It's too easy 2 be swayed by names. On the front and back of the jerseys...and on the sidelines too.
The BCS was perfect. It's job was to find the top 2 teams in the country and put them against each other in a national championship game. Yes, in most years there were 3 or 4 teams that had a legit argument. But the design was to pick 2. Now, the selection committee is charged with picking the 4 best, or most deserving teams to put into a playoff. You can bet, there ill be 5-7 teams that have legitimate arguments of belonging in the playoff. But the committee, just like they did last year, will pick the 4 best teams, or the 4 most deserving teams. It is on us to earn our way. We have everything in front of us. Lose to Bama or to Ole Miss (or anyone else) and our fate is in someone else's hands.
You should be a bookie. I want to load up on LSU now with this logic. I still can't believe we're getting 7 points.
That's debatable. Don't sell Bama short, they might be down from years past, but not that much. Bama is capable of beating anyone.
For those saying the BCS was perfect, how would that have worked last year?? Bama and Florida State probably. Yep. The two teams that lost in the semifinals. How many other years would that have been the case?? No way to know, but I think last year should have been an eye opener. Things aren't always as they appear. The only thing wrong with the playoff is there should be, at least, 8 teams. Other than that, it's great and if you don't win your conference, sorry. You aren't guaranteed anything and you shouldn't be.
That's your opinion. The committee (supposedly a group of experts) ranked them 4th based on the information available at this point in the season.
