We all know that College Football and College Basketball have become awesome sports to watch but when do you think College Baseball will become as big as them

Would you like to see the NCAA make College Baseball part of them? If so, Why?

I know I do, plus it gives college players much more chances of going pro

I kind of like it at the level it's at now. Fewer fans but the ones that follow are real fans. Go to a MLB game and 50% of the people in the stadium couldn't name 5 staters and probably are only there because someone at work game them tickets.

I do wish there was more TV coverage though.

I think football, basketball, and baseball are all much better at the college level but of those I think baseball has the biggest lead over it's pro counterpart.

You know ESPN has done a good job of selling a product that not a massive amount of people are interested in, when the post season starts in college baseball. that is one thing i will credit them with.

Totally agree with that. Was referring more to regular season coverage.

I just kinda see baseball as a losing sport. Viewership and attendance is trending downward for the pro game. I wonder if ESPN is just hedging their bets. They will run the College World Series, but they are afraid to put money into a sport they might not see a return on.

I think college baseball viewing is on the rise. Look at the parity these days compared to a decade or two ago. Viewers will watch when they have a stake in the game.

As for pro sports: I only watch pro football. I have no stakes in pro basketball (though I generally don't care for the character of the game) and pro baseball (because the Astros never win).

'07 was the 4th consecutive year MLB broke their attendance record.
'08 and '09 both finished in the top 5 all-time attendance marks for the league.

It's a regional sport. It's just too cold early in the season for the northeast.

Thanks. I was about to hop on the same thing.

Just look at the number of clubs still with a shot in mid July. Baseball has a lot of parity.
