IMO...we are somewhere between where the two polls are putting us. We arent playing like a top 10 team at the moment ...more like a #12-13 team.
We are at home - I prefer a sweep; however, 2-1 isn't bad. It will come down to how we win/lose in a 2-1 series.
I agree. It should be a good tough series. If you've had the opportunity to watch CSF you can see they are pretty solid. Like all I prefer a sweep, but a 2-1 series win will be good. As you say how we win will also be important. Close games are ok, but I think I'd rather see some scoring by the Tigers if close is how they are. An 8-6 win might be better than a 3-2 win. CSF has solid pitching and I'd like to see our bats be alive against that type of competition. It'll give a good indication of what we can do against some of our SEC competition.
CPM wants to test his weekend rotation against SEC-like competition and to see how his lineup fares against SEC type pitching. Winning the series would be great, but the information learned from this weekend will be much more valuable. Next weekend will be the real deal and that's when I'll love a series win.
