Latest Baseball America rankings have LSU #20 behind such luminaries as UConn (1-2), Oregon (1-2), TCU (2-1), and Baylor (2-1). I mean, come on. Does our history count for nothing?

Nope, and apparently, neither does our 3-0 record.

Don't forget, it's more fun to climb than to fall

There's some truth to your statement, but I mean COME ON! This is ridiculous.

I don't get baseball rankings at all. That said, like football rankings, it doesn't really matter as long as LSU takes care of business. If that happens we'll host a superregional no matter what Baseball America thinks after one weekend of play.

The root of the problem lies in exposure. It's not as if there are scores of college baseball games on national TV all weekend. However, the dominant fashion in which we swept this series is evident from the box scores. Thus, there is no excuse for this type of ignorance.

That's true, but LSU is a 7 (?) time National Champion and perennial Omaha visitor and UConn is what? TCU? Baylor? They haven't earned the right to be ranked ahead of LSU early on, let alone with losing records.

I know it means little in the big picture but I maintain the right to be pissed off about it.

    Only six, FOR NOW!!!:D

I wholeheartedly agree. Most other factors being relatively unknown at this point in the season (read: lack of exposure), our program has earned the right to be ranked among the best early on. It's not like we're a has-been that was only successful in the 70's *cough*southerncal*cough* We're one full season removed from the NC, and have consistently recruited among the best in the country ever since then. What a sham.

csf and uconn actually tumbled a bit. (four and five spots.) the one i have a problem with is oregon going 1-2 and only dropping one spot. especially since they played that baseball powerhouse, hawaii. i can see where given starting positions, the deck chairs not completely being rearranged, but i would have thought we would jump 2-3 positions in the rankings. not just one. i mean, stanford went 2-1 and moved up five spots. they did play rice so they should move up, but five spots?

but its extremely early. all we have to do is take care of business and things will right themselves.

Stupid polls are crap. The voters are idiots. It's all biased media bs. I posted on another thread about all the haters out there. THEY HATE LSU. Keep hating you douchers and we'll keep winning championships. Like Okie said the ship will right itself.
