EVERY big time player wants to be the king of New York. I think he will be. Sorry to turn this thread into a LeBron to Knicks thread, btw.
If I remember correctly, the main incentive for him moving to New York is that his Nike contract would supposedly increase dramatically. I don't know if that was ever confirmed, but that was the rumor for a long time--and it's not just New York, but any major market). That being said, I think he stays in Cleveland--especially if they win the title. He'd become a villain, and that's the last thing he wants.
Cowherd giving love again today, this time it was Les Miles is vastly underrated, Nick Saban is vastly overrated. He pointed to the bowl game records, overall 5 year record and of course the ULM thing. He definitely likes him some coach Miles.:miles:
Today Colin Cowherd kept pumping up a "Top 3 Most Underrated Americans in Sports" before every commercial. Finally, when he did the countdown of the top 3 it was: 3. Roy Halladay 2. Coach Les Miles-and he went on to explain in detail why Les Miles is better than Coach Nick Saban and how he is doing better in a tougher SEC now than Nick Saban did when the SEC wasn't quite as tough. 1. Chauncey Billups
He also said he turned around OSU in 2 years, wins all his bowl games, and does not lose to teams like ULM and Utah.
Had some Utah people on vacation in the cafe today...they saw my LSU hat and asked what I thought about the Sugar Bowl. We all had big grins on our faces. I said "Lunch is on me today. Seriously, my treat. Does that answer your question?":lol::lol::lol: :thumb:!!!!
Mental note to self: "Next time I'm in Steve's neck of the woods, act like a Utah fan.....get free lunch."
They insisted on paying... but I'd really love to meet you guys and your families sometime. I do have a couple that drives in from Ocean Springs almost every weekend. They call me and let me know they're coming so I can save biscuits for them. It was great though when they asked me about the sugar bowl. All I could do was smile, chuckle and shake my head yes. I probably looked a lot like the smilie...:hihi:.
This morning a new customer came in the cafe. I had never seen him before so I asked him if he was from around here. H esaid he was from Tuscaloosa and owned a sporting goods store there. In fact, he said that he used to play golf with Curly Hallman of all people when he was at Southern Miss. We chatted and he commented on my LSU hat... a real nice fellow... he advised us to watch out for Ole Miss this year. I reminded him that He was right on about Ole Miss and to watch out for them also because Saban was famous for losing games to inferior competition every once in a while... especially to teams from Louisiana.:hihi:. He smiled, understood and we talked a short while about food, etc. and my attention was drawn away from him. When I turnd around, I saw him leaving through the front door.... You won't believe this...just as the Utah people were coming back in through the front door as well. I tried to get his attention, so I could introduce him to the Utes, but unfortunately to no avail. He was gone... Too Bad!!! They said they really would have liked to have been introduced. Big smiles all around:lol:.
