I want to circle back to a point Tiger_fan made. The crime stats constantly touted about New Orleans are based on the City of New Orleans/Orleans Parish. They do not include the entire New Orleans metro area. When the stats for the entire New Orleans statistical region are analyzed, New Orleans' reputation for violent crime suddenly becomes rather average. I live in Annapolis and my office is in Baltimore (see 'The Wire'). I'd give anything to see the Baltimore/Washington DC area's crime rate lowered to that of New Orleans. Cowturd wouldn't dare bash the DC/Baltimore area because his job is to sell ads and there are many more people in this media market than New Orleans. Quit feeding the troll and he'll go away (eventually).
You couldn't be more wrong about me love living here. I stated several times I don't give a shit about spelling. I always expect to be called out. It happens everyday. I am not going to agree with you because you want me too. I hate this state. I know many people that live in this state that feel the same way. They just won't admit it openly. I am looking for jobs in another state. If you can't except that it really is your problem.
Sounds like you're just an unhappy person. Given enought time, you'll probably come to "hate" whatever state you end up moving to in time. I could be wrong, but you seem like a really negative person. Just an observation. I'm not trying to judge you negatively, just calling what I see...
Omg lol Louisiana is a wonderful place to live. Such a sad thing to see someone "from" there act like such a troll. Well, good luck to you in all your future endeavors.
If you don't smoke or sell crack New Orleans is perfectly safe. If you are involved with crack you have a much higher chance of getting murdered.
it is already average for violent crime, just high for murders. i suppose thats not very comforting though. and im not sure looking at the metro will help the murder rate as kenner is way up there. as to the arguments others have made about tourists not being murdered, i would expect that to be true everywhere. i think the most relevant crimes to consider are robberies. that is what will most likely directly affect tourists.
