Les is not stupid IMO. He has been cursed with habitual bad qb play and has been made a fool of by an incompetent oc. He did produce championships both confrence and national. His failure was to drink the Kool aid crowton served him and believing that jj was the best qb. I would bet crowton told him that too. Miles is stubborn to a fault. He is overly loyal to under achiever uperclassmen too. If jimbo was here things wouldn't be this way. Miles and lsu will recover. Stubborn and foolish -maybe Stupid- I don't think so
See what I mean? You come on here and post rationally, and I don't even notice your post count or membership date.
Business wise this team is doing great. Making more money than it ever has. Bigger crowd's than ever. Very few CEO's could manage to better than 5-0. Not saying Miles is helping himself with the time management issue or with playing JJ. It is the analogy that I don't agree with. Business wise this program has never been better.
I'm running the messages and they're everywhere. Something tells me their stay here won't be long. As someone said earlier, may die from cheeseburgers and beer but not from the stressor of a game. Dont misunderstand, I feel their pain ............ some of this is a little much for a sound person to take.
Another coup for Tigerfan. Ladies and gentleman, please welcome Les Miles' mother and father to the board.
LSU struggles and I’m not smart enough to tell you how much of the problems are lack of talent and how much are coaching. Hell, I was sure I saw it all when I saw a defensive lineman run down the fastest man in Louisiana one afternoon in South Bend about 40 years ago but I have never seen anything like Saturday’s game against UT. It was not pretty, but by god the Tigers won. Hell, we could be UGA with Mark Richt - nice guy, pretty savvy with the media, seems to be a pretty good recruiter but UGA is 1-4 with 10 or so arrest and UGA has been rebuilding for something like 5 years. Everyone thought Texas was back in the big time, but Big Mac Brown’s having some issues this season. Joe Pa was too old for the game, then a genius all over again and now, well he is having a bad year. Houston finally won a SEC game, but my god look at the chumps Ole Miss has played. Can any Rebel ever brag about Ole Miss as an institution of higher learning – with their QB their no better than a halfway house for petty criminals on their way to the NFL - nothing like selling your soul for a few wins and still not gong to Atlanta in December. Big Frank up at VT’s not having much luck these days. Butch Davis was supposed to be a good coach – some folks wanted him at LSU – how about now? UNC may get the death penalty before Davis, his family help, assistant coaches, student tutors and pro agents get through with the program. Finally take Bama. Sure they are a great team at the moment, but frankly, in some 50 years of following the SEC, I've only known a hand full of Bama fans I'd care to have a beer with, much less be around for an entire season. Is this the prefect team and coaching staff I'd like for LSU - no, but it is LSU. The season still has a long way to go and it may turn nasty. This old Tiger will stick with our Tigers, Les Miles, a 5-0 record entering October and a clean program. Laugh all you want, but I’d rather be reading about the Tigers winning ugly than being arrested, having players suspended or kicked off the team, having coaches taking loans from agents and still not winning or even winning big and watching drunk fans on youtube bragging about how their boys are going "bowling" now and being about the only thing people feel like bragging about in their state. I think we exceeded the 24 hour rule - lets talk about next weekend. ldskule:
