Well said and articulate post. Thanks for taking the time to present a logical assessment of the Head Coach. If anyone listens to his entire press conference, Les is fired up. He hasn't lost any passion. I've never seen him more animated after a game. Les is eccentric, but not stupid. His sentence formation and diction is abstract at times, but I always understand what he's saying. Some fans are simply incapable of abstract thought, it would seem. I love Miles, especially after this game! I hope he remains Head Coach for LSU for decades to come. He is already a legend. Anyway, great post!

Well, for one, when you have not one, but two experienced Junior QBs, and a highly rated Zach Lee coming in, you just keep recruiting QBs. But Zach Lee to the Dodgers screwed that up. But he can't go get a JUCO QB to come in now. Mettenberger will be here in the spring, and your point will be moot. We'll have two experienced Senior QBs, plus Mettenberger, plus true freshman Rivers. Mettenberger may win the starting job, or Lee may retain it. But I have no faith in JJ any longer. None.

Please tell me why Les put Jefferson back in on 2nd and goal then. Please tell me why Lee hasn't seen more playing time. Please tell me why Les' teams continue to rack up penalty yards, year after year. Please tell me why he hasn't figured out how to manage a clock.

Look, I don't think he is the only one that deserves blame here, and I think he is passionate, but he needs to quit directing his anger at the media and start directing it at his players on offense. He needs to make those guys realize that if you screw up, and make stupid mistake, after stupid mistake, after stupid mistake, you will get benched.

I said Les bears responsibility for us not having better QBs. Your third point seems to basically be saying our QBs should not even be passing the ball. Your 5th point is hard to understand, given your 3rd point it that LSU should'nt even be passing. So its Les's fault for letting the QBs pass and Les's fault for the mega-talent (but drop/fumble prone) WRs not getting the ball.

Repeat after me: JJ and JL are our QBs. JJ and JL are our QBs. JJ and JL are our QBS. Have been since 2008. Its a horrible nightmare. But JJ and JL are still our QBs.

Do you know what it means that JJ and JL are our QBs? It means they are what LSU has to work with. Thats it. Thats our choice. JJ or JL. JJ or JL. Since 2008. Thats the reality.

You know what? Les won a NC right before JJ or JL became our QBs. And hey, his QB was the first player drafted in the NFL. Top QB. National Championship. And then JJ or JL. Offense goes to hell. Think maybe there is a cause and effect in there somewhere?

Well I agree that JL should now be the starter. Not so much because he earned it, but because JJ lost the job. Maybe...maybe JL gets better with game experience. I'd like to find out. But it would be a mistake to overlook the fact the JL had chances to win the game but made several really really bad plays that killed drives. Really bad plays.

And you know what? Really bad plays after a really good play, trumph the good play. Hopefully JL will get better with game experience. He's all we've got.

He didn't make nearly the amount of bad plays JJ did. Also, a little of that can be attributed to him not having any real game experience in a while. But it is what it is. I agree that he's gotta be the starter, and he will not be perfect. In '08, he needed to be because our defense sucked. In '09, JJ needed to be because our running game/OL sucked...which led to it being impossible for JJ to be perfect. That's why I gave him a lot of slack heading into this year. But he's proven himself to be completely immature and clueless on the field. You said it when you said he lost the job. Yep. He lost it about 3 weeks ago.

the only thing missing is the signature block, which would read...Coach Les Miles.
