Bush goes out of his way to taunt the bears after he catches a pass and goes the distance. That made the score 16-14 Bears. The rest of the game after that was 23-0 Chicago in a 39-14 loss. Today, he goes out of his way to talk smack to the Skins on his punt return to make the score 24-15 Saints. The rest of the game was 14-0 Skins in a 29-24 loss. Coincidence? I think not. When you show up a team who is depleted, they become very, very dangerous.
How can you play for the Saints and still be cocky? Petey let him get away with it too many times, I guess. If I was a coach, it would never happen twice.
It isn't the sole reason. But it is part of the reason imo. A tired defense aided the problem, naturally. But an angry offense with revenge in mind didn't hurt, either.
What I learned from this game, mainly the commercials. When it comes to giving: Drew Brees>>>Reggie Bush>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Mother Teresa
I just don't like the new Payton. He doesn't go for the killshot anymore. Two straight weeks he plays it safe. One week we get lucky, this week not so much. Give me back the 2006 version of Payton please. Therein lies your problem.
I want a mixture of the two. Because the 2006 version was only so great because everytime he rolled the dice, he landed snake eyes. He tried some of his tricks in 2007 and they splattered all over his face (see: reverse against Tampa).
It would be one thing if he ran hard througout the game and then taunted. I could let that slide a little. But the fact is whenever he gets the chance, he runs out of bounds every chance he gets. Then when he gets loose, he begins to taunt.
One can only be in awe of Bush's ability to hit the sideline faster than any running back in history. Nobody does it better. :dis:
i really felt that payton should have gone for that last 4th and 1. redskins had all the momentum. getting that 4th and 1 would have begun the shift and made it saint's game.
