It's not surprising to find their fan base cocky, but they have to be disappointed with finishing in 5th place in the Eastern Division. Especially considering they were very close to be selected as the favorite to win the SEC. That nod went Vandy who received five of the 12 championship votes in the poll. Ole Miss followed closely behind with four votes, while South Carolina received three. Ironically, both Ole Miss and USCe finished with identical SEC records, 15-15.
