Couldn't have happened to a better team IMO. I thought as hot as we were going into the NCAA tournament that whoever would beat LSU would take the whole thing. What does that say about our program and Coach PM? I think with the youth that we had this season being that we were so young that the future looks bright for this team going to Omaha next season. Hopefully Canazaro stays and doesn't take the HC at Tulane. IDK what are yall thoughts?
I remember the day Gilmore was hired for two reasons. One, the pastor that married my parents was named Gary Gilmore and that stuck out to me when I found out due to the guy that was executed years ago named Gary Gilmore. It's a great story though not really a shock. I'd have to look, but my gut tells me they've only had one losing season over the last 12-15 years with more than a handful of 40+ win seasons along the way. Much like football talent is found in Georgia, you can find a lot of baseball talent in this area of the country. UofSC with their national titles, Clemson and their record of success on the diamond, and now CCU winning the NC. CoC has had their share of some pretty good seasons as well.
I was hoping they would take it all. Really like the way they played and conducted themselves. Was worried about Arizona, they played some hot baseball. Hats off to both teams.
Maineri screwed up the trifecta and gave us a pretty good season. Miles and Jones need to step it up.
There's some hope for Miles. Absolutely none for Jones. None. He and the incompetent women's BB coach should have been released already. The PMAC is going to be a tomb this season. Everybody is fed up, out of patience with both programs and will not attend any games until a change is made. The masses are fed up with Miles too, but he gets a little breathing room up until the point that the Tigers lose to Rammer Jammer and are mathematically eliminated from the SEC West title. Once that happens, (If it happens) Tiger Stadium will turn into an empty tomb as well................
