If recruiting rankings are any indication LSU has more raw talent than any team on their schedule other than Alabama
Well, I addressed the point you made. I'll address the new one now. You describe every team in the SEC West. Have you been watching the games? LSU has run the read option, three wideouts, four wideouts, full house backfield, shotgun, and pistol as well as the I-formation, which has been very good to LSU in recent years. LSU has one of the most balanced offenses in the nation with 226 rushing and 236 passing per game. They average 41 points a game on offense and hold opponents to 13 points on defense. LSU is ranked in the top 15. For a young team in a rebuilding year, they are doing pretty well. LSU has played three cupcakes, but so have most ranked teams. Unlike most we have played two ranked opponents already. The West Division has 6 ranked teams and that can't last much longer as we beat each other up, mostly only losing to each other. The West Division is a huge shit sandwich and everybody has to take a bite.
As usual you missed the point. The two best teams were LSU and Alabama. If Alabama had played Oklahoma State or anybody else who would you have put your money on? In the NFL its very common for two teams who played each other in the regular season to meet again in the playoffs or the Superbowl. Get over it.
I don't think Alabama deserved to be "gifted" a spot in that game. They lost on their home field, finished second in their division. Okie state lost an away game while in the midst of a major distraction. I think the Tigers were good enough to beat anyone that year. Just too young and cocky to beat a team that good twice.
Matter of opinion. Alabama failed to win its conference or its division and had already lost to the #1 team in their own house. They got a mulligan that was undeserved.
Because LSU beat Alabama at their house in front of their crowd, been there done that. They didn't win their league and didn't even win their division, Okie State deserved to be in that game. They won their league, they lost on the road. You can't say shit because an Oklahoma team that was supposed to get ass raped by Alabama last year beat the fuck out of the gumps. The BCS got it wrong just like they did in 03, and 04.
The NFL doesn't play on Saturday. Plus they have a playoff to settle that. By putting Alabama in that game the BCS blatantly said out loud THE REGULAR SEASON DOES NOT MEAN SHIT. If LSU lost to Georgia Alabama wouldn't have played in that game, but they are still the 2nd best team? Ridiculous. The BCS fucked it up like they did so many times before.
The New York Giants didn't win their division in 2007 or 2011. They were a wild card good enough to win Superbowls
