While I think most tiger fans would in their hearts of hearts would say that Saban is a better coach than Miles, I would still take the overall package of Miles. Miles at least makes being a fan of your team enjoyable. You can tell Miles has joy and excitement at games, press conferences, and generally most times. With Saban, he is wound so damn tight and such a control freak that he can't just enjoy anything. He even projects that onto the fan base and everything around the team. He has such a need to control everything that he can't relax ever because some one may break his process. I can understand why they say Miles is a players coach, it is infectious to be around someone who still has joy about a kids game. I hope Miles is around at least another seven years.

During Saban's first 2 years at Bama I thought he was the better coach. I have come full circle. I will stick with Miles

Nah I'll take Miles and his .800 win percentage, his 1 OOC loss in almost 7 seasons, and his annual top 5 recruiting class over losing to ULM, and the arrogant lying selfish douche any day... Saban is a fag and will once again be shown up by Les... after all, LSU is Miles ahead of Saban and Bama.

Miles went to a Dutchtown High School game a few weeks ago. A friend of mine has a picture with him. He talked to Coach Miles for a few minutes and said that he was as cool as he11, smiling, winking, etc.

A few years ago (when saban was here) I remember reading on a forum (cant remember which one) that the poster saw saban somewhere, greeted him and stuck his hand out to shake saban's- at which time saban looked at him for a second like he was stupid and then went about his way.

No matter what happens on nov. 5th, give me Les any day.

I've come a long way but was honestly thinking the other day that given the choice I would not want Saban and prefer Miles. He pisses me off now and then (less lately) but all in all he's fun and he wins.

phuck Saban AND THAT CHEATIN bastard Bryant too.

I think this is where a lot of people get confused, I myself am guilty as charged. People by nature are comfortable with what they understand. Saban is a great coach and is very easy to read. What you see is what you get. However as we should all know from his time here is is far less than perfect as both a human and a coach. Miles on the other hand is very hard to read and often confuses people with his unorthodox coaching and talk. People do not like what they have a hard time understanding or assigning rhyme and reason to. He is however a great coach also. Some of Miles faults lead fans and talking heads to question his sanity and coaching skills. One of the biggest has been loyalty to his assistants. No one should have to remind us of this, but look no further than the co defensive coordinators and Cowton as glaring examples. He has shown a track record of correcting those mistakes. I think Miles compares very very favorable to Saban as a coach. It's really splitting hairs as to which is better. Their resume I think is proof of that. Saban however can't hold Miles jock when it comes to being a human being. Miles has also shown much greater loyalty to LSU that his predecessor. Miles is the type of guy that you would charge Hell with a bucket of water for. Saban is the type of guy that would have you keeping an eye on your bucket.

Saban is too serious for LSU. Miles fits right in. He's one of us now.

Not to mention Miles left Saban thinking wtf!?! after last seasons match up, and we had no where near the offense or defense we have this year.

He's got his big girl panties and helmet on extra tight right now. Wonder how many physicians he has following him around with a blood pressure cuff and nitro pills.
