There were 5 runs and 1 pass on that drive, the TD pass and a 15 yard face mask on Bama. So what adjustments did you see? Run, run, run, run, run, thow it deep. That's been the offense all season.
Did it work or not? I guess minus 7 would make your point. The offense all season was ranked 1 or 2 in the SEC right?
thank you, thank you and thank you if anybody didn't realize we were in for a horrible night offensively after the first predictable series resulting in a 3 and out, then you just aren't living in the real world
First you say they couldn't make adjustments, then you say they did make adjustments, but you can't tell us what they were. Yes Harris completed one long pass and it was a beauty, but where was the adjustment from run run run bomb? Oh, there wasn't one and it continued with no adjustments in the second half. It was apparent that the gameplan was doomed early on and it never changed even though yes they did complete one long pass.
The comments on this thread were we never make adjustments at the half and gave up. I said we didn't have the ball enough to make a lot of adjustments. We did not run on first down every time either which is a myth that gets thrown about (pun intended) every week.
We didn't run on first down all the time, but it is far too predictable. The lack of adjustments in the Bama game are just inexcusable. I never said at any time that we gave up, not the players at least, I'm not sure about the coaching staff.
When you run so fucking much on first down, it makes the time you don't extremely obvious. Who didn't see the play action coming out of the locker room on first down after the half? That was so horribly telegraphed it wasn't even funny. No no adjustments were made. Run 5 times and chuck it deep isn't adjusting. And play action doesn't fucking work when you can't run the damn ball. This is grade school shit.
Tell me about it, LSU may as well just hold up a big sign that tells you what play is coming next. But they don't have to because everyone already knows.
