Tennesse has better players right now and was rested after their bye. It was quickly apparent to me that this was not going to be another Auburn type comeback. While I want LSU to win every game, we have to rebuild and there will be painful losses like yesterday.

The level of talent is an issue, too. This is essentially a patchwork team this year. There's not much for Kelly to work with, starting with the QB.

I agree 100 percent. CBK has just arrived and is doing his best with what he has out there. Fans will feel much better when UT beats Alabama next week! I also think Saban will also hold out Bryce because he knows they stand a very good possibility of losing and they can meet UT in the SEC Championship and get redemption. Unlike most HCs, Saban is always thinking several games down the road.

-#LSU went 11-12 the last two years.
-They had 38 scholarship players in the bowl game.
-They have 64 healthy scholarship players on the roster.

If you thought they were going to compete with the top SEC teams in year one, then yesterday was a dose of reality.

I take solace in the fact that TN was an imploded team less than 2 years ago. Almost 40 players left when Pruitt was fired.
If The Vols can turn it around in 2 seasons, so can LSU.

If Saban holds Young out, it's because Young can't play. His back-up is not ready for primetime.

And Saban doesn't just give away a game.

We are not average. Nuss needs to get in the game. Is he better than 5? We don't really know. I don't think he can be worse so at this point why not find out?

House needs to get us off the field on 3rd down. This isn't the NFL and that defense doesn't work.

Denbrock has to be more creative

OL has to challenge themselves, it should be personal for them at this point.

The question should not be “Is he better than 5?” The question should be is the offense better with him than with Daniels? It is my opinion that Nuss’s strengths better compliment the strength of the WR position

    Thinking too literal/absolute.

Milesball, is the act of dishing out the same game plan over and over again with only a desire not to lose, until you run into someone with better or equal talent and a desire to do anything to win.

We have less talent now but relatively speaking, doing same thing when Miles was here, post-08 neutering.
