Yes LSU scored points this year, but the defense and STs helped... much of the season our offense ran, ran, ran... and nobody could stop them. I'm of the opinion, especially after watching this coaching staff do the same ineffective things in the 2nd half, that they did in the first... Stud is no OC, and if he by some chance is, then Miles is not qualified to be a HC... who the phuk makes absolutely no changes in a losing football game?
Yes he's had a good W/L ratio, but then takes a chit in the most important game in the last 4 years without once trying to correct the issues. While I still appreciate Miles, WTF is his problem? And before anyone jumps down my throat, I'm not on the fire Les bandwagon, just pissed off at him right now.
Their offense requires a QB that can actually play QB, not some "mercy" give the little brother a scholarship type kid.
Sure we were.. you just were not listening.. you were too blinding my the shiny wins to see that there were some very large chinks in the armor.
Don't hold your breath waiting for coaching changes. Nobody's going anywhere unless they leave on their own for greener pastures.
I'm with you. For all the "good" that Miles has done, last night--and his choice of QB's going back to Arkansas, needs some explaining. His choice to stick with JJ come Hell or high water was/is stubborn, stupid and completely ridiculous. And I wanna know why! Without pulling up any stats to back it up, I'd venture out to say that JJ has GOT to be one of, if not THE worst, QB on a championship-caliber program--SPECIFICALLY taking into account the division-clinching game (Arkansas), the SECCG and then the BCSCG. His performances in those 3 games alone was abysmal....AT BEST! and I don't hesitate to say that Miles has GOT to be the ONLY coach in ALL of college football that would have kept slamming his face into a brick wall over and over, refusing to make a change.
It was the same play calling we had during the year. The only thing was, teams finally relented to us shoving it down their throats after the first 2 or 3 quarters of the games during the regular season. That didn't work against Bama and we had no backup plan from there. I'm so glad I'll never have the chance to see JJ run that awful excuse for an option again! The game planning was about as bad as it gets on the offensive side. Bama surprised our defense immediately when McCarron came out passing, but Chavis had them where they needed to be. They were on the field way too long though!
