Ok I am ready and willing for all the koolaid drinkers to take there shots at me here for this thread just like they did when I posted the Quaterback Change thread????? So

I think we are ALL in agreeance that we need a change at DC BUT does it need to stop there?????

I pose 2 questions (and it in no way defines how i feel about our HC)

If Pitt does not beat WVA last year how hot would Miles seat be right now?

If we lose 3 straight to end the season including the bowl game what does this do to recruiting?

If WVU beats Pitt, yes Les Miles is more than likely on the hot seat right now. He has been granted a reprieve for the time being because of it. He made a disastrous blunder in not going after a solid DC. How long does the reprieve last? I don't know.

Recruiting will not be hurt at all. I don't see any commits decomitting. I think players like Debose, Randle, Jones, Telfort, Mingo and Loston all see early PT possibilities.

Probably as long as his contract. And there's still no one I'd rather have as head coach.

For those who want to change our HC, don't worry, in a couple of years we can probably choose from Rich Rod, Fat Charlie, Petrino and maybe even Lane Kiffin.

Which one of those excites ya? :rolleye33:

No worries on a DC, its already in motion.

But I also think Miles is on the hotseat. The problem LSU has, if we have another mediocre season, how the hell are they going to pay all that money to Miles, then go look for some great coaches to replace him? Does the school have that kind of money? I think its like a 15 million buyout or something.

Well, the WVU game saved him, and the Troy game was a saving grace too. We could be 6-6.

I think Crowton needs a kick to the groin. Almost the whole second half was ultra conservative. I think we had only 2 first downs in the second half against the worst defense in the SEC.

WTF happened to the offensive line and the running game?

Recruiting is at, some point going to start taking a hit. If LSU keeps losing and showing they can't control their team, they will start to lose out. It probably won't show this early coming off a NC. But I do think we're going to miss out on a few bigtime prospects that might have been otherwise winning. Did Texas/Florida/Bama suck at recruiting last year? No. They all had top 10 classes with mediocre seasons. If anything, it shows players you get early PT and the coaches will probably have a easier time selling it now.

But if it continues, people will start to question the coaching staff and move elsewhere. Down years happen for every program, LSU will be back next year.

There will ALWAYS be Louisiana kids that want to go to LSU. Period. And LA's talent ain't so bad, right? Recruiting will be OK. Coaching, though, needs to be looked at. I like Miles, I think I still like Crowton, but the DCs GOT to go.

I dont think that Miles is on the hotseat yet.....maybe a warmseat if we lose our bowl game........Now if he does not fix The D by next season ( replacing coaches ) than LSU may be looking at that big buyout. I like CLM but he has to step up and fix the problems during the off season.
