We got a slight nick (Wisconsin gained 14 pts on us, Ohio State 9 pts), about as I expected. Nothing to see here people. 1 Oregon (48)....... 10-0 1459 2 Auburn (4)......... 11-0 1398 3 Boise State (5)... 10-0 1341 4 TCU (2)............. 11-0 1300 5 Wisconsin.......... 10-1 1211 6 LSU.................. 10-1 1175 7 Ohio State......... 10-1 1116 8 Stanford............ 10-1 1112 Boise State gained 21 points on TCU and that is a big deal. They will be right up against TCU for 2nd in the BCS. They will overtake them next week with a good performance vs Nevada.
Works for me. I'm beginning to accept that we're not going to backdoor our way in this year. I'm just focused on beating Arky and finishing the year in the top 5. That will only help our run next year. An 11-1 regular season will have me giddy, title shot or not.
I believe this is pretty fair to LSU!! Main thing is to win the 'Battle of the Boot' (hopefully in dominating fashion but I doubt it....it'll be another nailbiter/edge of your seat game) and worry about the bowl game later!!
I think you would definitely jump to 5 with a win over Arky... just not sure whether Bama beating Auburn would hurt you. I would think Auburn winning would also help you guys... but what do I know....
It looks like it will take 2 Auburn losses plus a loss by either Boise and/or TCU for the Tigers to make it to Glendale. I'm still not ready to concede the NCG. So, I will be pulling for a Bama win.
Not a chance LSU plays in Glendale. But if things work out, LSU could finish as high as #3. Maybe even #2 if the BCSCG is a blowout. I would call that a very solid season.
I can see Auburn losing to Bama and Oregon losing to Arizona but then next week Auburn beating SC and winning the SEC and Oregon beating Oregon St and Auburn and Oregon being in the NC game. But if Auburn or Oregon or both lose there last game I don't think the voters will put them in the NC game. It would be very interesting to see who they would put in the NC game if that happened ?
