Terry, you say that, but all I hear from bama fans is, it's all about championships,

Well babe, you can down play our signifigance to bama, and claim it's all about Auburn and Tenn. but whether you or any other bama fan wants to admit it, the SEC west championship runs thru LSU.

And as long as that's true, we ain't just another game.

And you can bet your azz that no matter what he says, Saban knows it too.

Your "importance" with regards to "rivalry", "intensity" (whatever you want to call it) to us is contigent on whether the SEC Championship runs through LSU or not (which at this point in time it does). However, with Auburn and UT we both could be dead azz last and the game would have as much intensity to it as it would if we're playing for SEC West crown.

Trust me I speak as a Bama fan who goes through the emotions leading up to all three of these games every year and have been since the early 90's. The Auburn and UT game just brings intensity (no matter the records or team's situation) like none other. Now, don't get me wrong I get jacked up about the LSU game but it's mainly been because LSU has been the lead dog for the last six years in the SEC West.

But for me personally it's going to be really hard for LSU or ANY team at that to replace the intensity and jacked up emotions I go through leading up to the Auburn and UT games.

    This makes sense.

I'll bet that deep down, Saban feels a little different.

I agree and it's probably not "deep down" for Saban. But that's Saban's personal "rivalry". He himself couldn't understand the intensity everyone had the week of the UT game. To him it was just another game and he said so himself. But for the fans and a lot of the players it was more than that.
