"False"- Incorrect answer. Please study and come back and try again. The correct answer is true. Alabama has won two consecutive spring games and is on a hot streak like none other. :thumb:
i apologize...thought you meant winning as in attendance. but yes, nice win steak. did they pass out cigars afterwards?
Wouldn't know. The wife, daughter and myself cut out about midway through third quarter. My wife and three year old were getting hungry and the crap they were serving in the concessions wasn't worth the price. When two women get hungry they get tough to deal with so the safe bet for me was to oblige them and take them to eat.
I don't pretend that LSU is a natural rival for bama nor have I ever alluded to that. I could care less where we rate on your hate meter. From a psychological standpoint, I am sure UT and Auburn, and I guess even Georgia are bigger rivalries for you. Hell, you can put Vandy in front of us if it makes you feel better. I can only hope that your coach and your players are dumb enough to regard their game with us, in the manner you claim they do. Considering that we are the reigning SEC champs, and the first two-time BCS champs, I suppose we don't rate much consideration. Don't worry, we don't need it. We will just keep racking up the wins vs bama. Much like we have done the past five straight years. The problem you seem to have Terry is that while history is a fine thing, it doesn't have much relevance on the here and now. You want to go back more than 4-5 years and you are unlikely to find players that are still around today. That makes history, while rich and entertaining, completely irrelevant to what happens on the field here and now. You want an example? Everyone of you claim how Saban is going to turn things around for you. The here and now. You don't really want to talk much about the last ten years or so of mediocrity, even though it has direct bearing on where you are today. It has much more to do with where you are now, as opposed to your history of dominance. Do you think Saban is motivating your players because of your proud history or his own personal goals for success? The here and now. You can talk about what we mean to your team, or don't mean to your team, based on many years past, or you can accept that we are the biggest hurdle to your success in the here and now. I guarantee you Saban knows we are, and we are not going away. If he wants to succeed, he will have to go through us. It's really that simple, whether you acknowledge it or not.
If Auburn's success is because Bama is down, I cannot get past the inference that Saban also only had success at LSU because Bama was down. If that is really the case, just what is Bama paying all that money for?
Completely agree and is what I've posted several times on tidefans. I love our history. It's something to proud of and I will pass it on to my three year old daughter and seven month old son as they get older. But that doesn't win football games on the field today. It is something to lean on during tough times but that's it. As much as y'all see negatives about Saban this is actually one of the things he basically said and has been saying since he got to Bama. The past doesn't win ballgames today. It's what you do TODAY that wins ballgames today. And he's right and I believe he's doing the things to do that.
I don't think anyone is implying that Bama views LSU as a bigger rival than UT or Auburn. I think most logical LSU fans view LSU-Bama game as just another SEC west rivalry game. Nothing more, nothing less. At this point, I see Auburn as a bigger rival than Bama.
