I know his resume, what I asked is was he the best available. He was fired at AU, was coaching high school and was only hired as an administrative assistant at TT by the college coach that probably knows him better than anyone else. Doesn't sound like Tubberville had a whole lot of confidence in his coaching ability. I like the guy as a former Tiger, but that doesn't make him a great coach. He's had some wonderful coaching opportunities in his career and seems to be going steadily down the ladder. I hope he does great, just seems like there would be young up and comers that offered more potential. JMO
I wouldn't have hired him. I was in a few classes with him back in the day and knew him. I'm thinking there maybe a deal going on for him to get the job. Not sure what it might be.
