F Coach O. I'm sick of hearing about him. All I know is that he almost ran Ole Miss into the ground (with a total of 3 conference wins in 3 years!!!) and the Saints D-line sucked like a Bourbon St. whore.

I know he's a good recruiter, etc. But we need COACHES. Our recruiting is obviously doing fine. LSU basically recruits itself. Hell, even Curly Hallman was a great recruiter and he was nearly certifiably retarded.

Good luck Tennessee. I hope he coaches better than he's been coaching.

yeah... Bobby Hebert, who's own son plays for LSU and who tried to guide Ironhead's son to LSU with T-Bob will let his friend snake LSU at his expense.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that Coach O had a deal with LSU.

    Tennessee just topped it.

:geaux: Doesn't bother me that Ogre is not coming to LSU. I agree with the previous posts which talked about too many ego's being involved, etc. I also think there would have been inevitable friction between Ogre and Chavis on the defensive side of things and possibly with Crowton in just how the overall staff hierarchy played out and all. Just would have been a case of too many chiefs, etc. Plus, Henson is doing a fantastic job as recruiting coord. and where would that have left him? Not a good reward for someone who's done a good job. I think this is working out for the best. I also don't think Bobby Hebert had anything to with this deal. That would make him a pretty slimy character if he was stiffing LSU for his bud while his own son plays for the Tigers. I don't see him stooping to that kind of stuff. :LSU231:

Better for Cameron that he didn't. He went to the enemy and then got shellacked by what should have been a 3 touchdown margin in the BCS NC.

If that were the case, I am disappointed that in this day and age, one's word isn't worth gold any more, nor is there any gentleman's agreement. It seems like the $$$ is the bottom line.:dis:

    1. Read the book "Meat Market" and you'll see how Coach O rolls.

    2. He made the right business move for himself.

    Tennessee is:

    a. more money
    b. a place where he can get more recognition, because old man Kiffin will retire soon and O is in line to be the DC when that happens

well i'm kinda disappointed about all this. i was pumped up when i heard that he was gonna come to LSU, then i was shocked when it went the other way. i was excited about be able to go to games for free and go back to the locker room after he game, would've been sweet. anyways, he is family and i will root for him and hope he does good, but Tenn. can still suck it! LSU! forever!

I, personally, would have stayed with the Saints before moving to TN. To each his own.
