I have heard from at least 5 different friends of mine that Les and Coach O were walking around and talking quite a bit this weekend at the Dome. This was a hot topic between the HS coaches as well. Laughing and having a good time from what I hear.

Look for the rumors to start again but I think this could be a sign. I think O will stay in LA this year no matter what. Either the Saints or LSU as the DL coach because he wants to keep his family here. Hell, we might give him his 1st shot at DC if everything else falls through but I don't expect that to happen.

I could see him getting the position job with his main duties being recruiting. I kinda like this move if it happens. O is an awesome recruiter.

I've always known he was a great recruiter, but I heard one talking head on ESPN say he's the best recruiter in college football. Obviously, this is subjective, but I didn't know he was looked at in that light.

Last time I checked we aren't hurting in the recruiting department and haven't been for years.

We need an experienced defensive coordinator. One who has actively been calling and scheming for at least several years. There is a big difference between being a position coach and even a head coach and being a coordinator and scheming and calling a game.

I'm all for him being a line coach but no way for DC.

Something tells me that he is part of the bigger picture. I don't believe, JMO, that he is being considered for DC. I am glad that it seems there are good relations between him and Miles. I would love to see him taking care of the DL going forward.

it could be that O wanted to hear about any pro defensive line prospects from the tigers.

I think Miles would like to get him as recruiting coordinator or the DL coach, but not as DC.

I can't believe I would even entertain the thought... but I would take coach O over Greg Robinson.

Why would O come here to be a position coach? Can't say I'm real excited about O as DC.
