Yeah the key is what you said which is is it going to show up on the field? He's finally bringing in better talent, but that doesn't mean much if the OU defensive staff doesn't develop it. I've been impressed with their physicality up front the couple games of theirs I've tuned into this year compared to years past. Last couple years Kansas State flat pushed OU around and that's why they won. Thus past weekend I expected them to be able to do it again, but OU was actually up to the task this year. They've got a long long way to go to be even in the same zip code of a top level SEC team, but their defense has more talent on it right now than Vandy and Missouri for example. Ole Miss too. They keep trending this way they'll soon be at Kentucky and South Carolina level. Etc.. I've been a Grinch fan dating back to his WSU Leach days to be fair. But they've gotten DL recently many SEC schools were favored to land. Been ages since that happened.

The Boise State stuff didn't beat us it was that jacked up on speed and bath salts Tazmanian Devil at QB whom we couldn't tackle and terrible red zone offense that beat us. We should have beaten them by 14 points. The poor hillbillies at Ole Kentuck will bare the brunt of our embarrassment this past weekend.

Until he starts losing. I’m consistent. I want my team to win. I want my team to compete at the highest level. Celebrating 3 point victories over Mississippi State simply because they beat us the previous year doesn’t cut the mustard in my book. But, to each his own I guess.
