Now if we could get our fans to stay for second half. Who pays for a ticket and then leaves at half. That is blasphemy. I went to Astos game in 90's that was 23 innings. I saw the last pitch at 2;30 in the morning. Dodgers had the 3rd baseman pitching and astros won. I don't leave early period win or lose
I kind of agree with you, but this Ole Miss game was pretty much played in the rain, wasn't really indoubt after the first half and wasn't over until almost midnight.
this goes to being raised by a high school coach. You never leave a game early ever. I understand reasons due to weather especially if you have kids etc. But when I am lucky enough to be able to see an LSU game it is special and always has been. I treasure every second on the clock because it is a privilege for me to go. The team needs it too . you can tell it takes some of their energy away when they see the stadium empty out.
I get your point but I support people's right to leave whenever they want, if they pay for a ticket. I say if they want people to stay they need to do better with parking and leaving. People stay in traffic over an hour, in some cases. No dam sense in that.
so if their were better options on traffic getting out of stadium then people wouldn't leave early. Tiger stadium seats over 100,000 people now and for some games it is close to full. I get that traffic is bad and worse than before . Then lets start doing some things to improve it. Make the road along the Miss river a freeway type road to move traffic better. Provide entertainment outside Maravich center after games and give people a reason to hang around. Get rid of the piped music and let band play more. Sell beer to end of third qtr and allow fans to enjoy game and not leave to get alcohol. I can guarantee you the Boosters are getting alcohol served to them. Get rid of Alleva and become fan friendly. Go back to old days when bourbon was brought in in your cowboy boots. There are things that can be done to help with this.
another idea with making that road by Miss river is put another Bridge across miss river there and a way from other side to I 10 as an additional route I know im talking about money being spent but Tiger Football is a money producer and get the State to add money too. LSU brings in a lot of out of state money for these games. Come up with some Huey Long type solutions. Think like Californians Tax anything that moves and a lot of what sits still. Raise Guest tax at hotels. Let Bama fans pay for it. Sell winthorp sell
