Coach O to LSU barring something happening between now and tomorrow night. I heard this from the family.
I love this forum. Next paycheck i'm finally going to become a contributor.. been slacking haha. :crystal:
The magnitude of this acquisition is almost insurmountable. Just look at the picture of him in the link posted above, he's a firecracker. He and Chavis will bring this program to the status of a Dynasty with the upcoming recruiting class and those in the future that he will be a part of. It is a GREAT time to be a Tigers fan.
WWL-TV broadcasts in southeast Louisiana and south Mississippi... I've been following their TV broadcast, and they just came out and said that Orgeron is coming to LSU, basically said everything they said in the text above, much like they were reading it verbatum off a tele-prompter. So anybody in SE Louisiana or south Mississippi that was watching CBS just saw a news update saying that Ed O is going to LSU... they announced it during the news between the 31st Annual Kennedy Center Honors and the David Letterman Show.
I caught some flack for the amount I said Coach O was going to receive but it looks like my source was right (I thought I would not be getting much info from him since he left LSU last year but he came through in a big way). Word is the package he is going to get is going to be huge and I give LSU big props on getting everyone on board with the funding of this hire. Looks like he will hold Assistant HC and Recruiting Coordinator titles.
This is great news. Should this all come together, we could end up with the nastiest defense in college history. The next few years are going to bring much enthusiastic joy to us LSU faithful. To those of you who were saying less than desirable things about Miles for dragging his feet, well now you know why. When you go for the big fish, you have to drop your line in deeper waters, and it just takes more time to land em.
Les haters hoping for an L tomorrow night to give them some ammo because he's taking it away as of now.:thumb:
there's a lot of star power in the coaching staff... We'll see if they work well together. Miles, Crowton and Coach O will all have been head coaches. Coach Stud, the O-Line coach was an O-Coordinator.
