Really? I mean really? Are you that naive? It's not about you, but ok... I'm sick of people bellyaching about our team when we have a bad year after the best decade of football this program's ever seen. Especially when half of them would have drank CLM's bath water after we beat Ohio State last year... What's it gonna change? Not a damn thing. We're in an off year, get over it.. Yeah, and that's a really common occurrence. Nothing special at all, true freshman beat national championship caliber teams all the time. How dare Lee not be able to do the same.. Especially not even being a true freshman.. :insane: :dis:
Is it really? Could have sworn they had a different coach and QB last year. Pretty sure I saw other new faces too. While you're at it, were we the same team that won the NC the year before? Then I guess you should stop watching football altogether, because at every level, junior high, high school, college, and pros, young, first-year starting qb's struggle. It's the norm, while performances like Chris Leak, or say.......Tommy Hodson, are the exception. You might be sick of it, but you will continue to hear it from pundits(ex-football, ex-qb's) for the rest of your life.
well, on defense there were 2 true freshman that saw playing time for ole miss and 1 redshirt freshman. on offense 1 freshman. so uh, yeah it was the same team as last year. different coach, yeah it is a different coach. So is Nutt a better coach than Miles. He sure has come into tiger stadium 2 years in a row and beaten a team that was more talented than his team by miles. Pun Intended. The fact that neither quarterback is "ready" is totally their fault right. Not the coaches fault for not having them prepared. Not the coaches fault for throwing all their eggs in the Perrilloux basket right. So be satisfied with this season, go ahead. Its great, what a wonderful job these coaches have done given the circumstances. Man great job Miles, great Job peveto and mallory. You all deserve a contract extension and bonus because you went 7-4 and had to suffer with a......oooooh i dare not say it......uh....... A FRESHMAN QUARTERBACK....**** i said it..... bull sh!t. this team has been out coached, out played and out classed in every facet of the game 4 maybe 5 times this season, and it aint over yet. Be satisfied, how does that satisfaction taste, because if it looks like sh!t, smells like sh!t, and taste like sh!t.......guess what....
LaSalle, it's Monday night and you should have cooled off by now. Get a grip dude. It's football. It's fun. . But, I see you live in Pineville. Hmmmmm, maybe you are living at...nahhhh.
How do you go from me explaining to you that this is a different team than last year, and the reality of young qb's struggling to me being satisfied with this season? That's quite a leap. You shouldn't try to put words in my mouth. Just stick to what you do best - incessant complaints. And as for the number of players that returned to Ole Miss this year, are they the same as last year, or a year older/wiser? This really has to be explained to you?? :insane::insane: And the fact that Nutt has beaten Miles two years in a row with different teams is proof that he is a better coach?? Do you say the same about every coach Miles beats also? Like Miles was better the first two times he beat Nutt, but now he is an instant moron? Is it just Miles, or other coaches too? Like PC when he loses to Stanford, or Lloyd Carr when he loses to App St., or Stoops when he loses to Boise St, or how about Saban when he loses to La Monroe? You mean losing to an inferior team proves your coach is an idiot? Is that all it really takes to win a football game? If I had only known all those years I put in practice, all I had to do was have the superior coach and then I could just show up(or not) and win. Geez, I sure wasted my time in sports. Maybe you should send some of these players a memo? Sure would save them some time. What is the air like on your planet?
With a true freshman like Jefferson, there is a difference between "being ready" in week 2 or week 4 of the season, and being ready in week 10. I can believe he was not ready earlier and he had to be ready last Saturday. He played well. He got excited a few times and overthrew a couple, to be expected. He demonstrated a great lively arm and good running ability. Also, be being "not ready yet", I assume Crowton was not calling the whole offense, but a subset that JJ felt comfortable with. JJ looked better than Lee, IMO, but I don't think that proves he was ready to go 4 weeks ago.
