Mark it....Co-defensive coordinator's Peveto and Mallory.

A separate special teams coach will be hired.

Has there ever been co-defensive coordinators. Even so, one man must call the game, signaling in the defensive calls.

One will be on the field and one in the press box. I tend to believe Mallory will be the chief DC and Peveto was promoted as to get a raise.

Just have to trust whatever CLM is thinking. He has proven himself with his past coaching decisions.

I am a little uncomfortable about the idea. One guy should be calling the shots.

Why do we need to promote someone to get a raise? Salaries aren't tied to job titles. After winning the NC, getting someone a raise can't be that hard.

I hope there is another logical reason for this co-dc stuff. Though, I'm having a hard time coming up with one.

one in the booth calling the plays and one on the field motivating the players and sending in the plays. at least that that is what i would think is how it would work.

to put perspective on the situation, Bo was a co-coordinator prior to getting to LSU and was pretty successful, so it can work out if the 2 guys know their thing.

Let's just hope at least one of these two know how to stop a spread offense, because I know for sure the man they are replacing didn't know how.

If this is the case...it might be just for a short period of time until CLM is reassured that one or the other is the better choice.

They are creating a position that wasn't there before for special teams. Perhaps this is the reason for giving Peveto the title of Co-DC. It would seem odd to give someone a lower title and then give them a raise.
