5-1 on decade 3-1 reg season in football basketball side our record is better but wvu lost 3 times with alot more wins. and yea that is what some fans want bill Stewart before the season said we should be in the sec other think acc most just want out of the BE
I'm not insinuating that WVU can't hang with SEC teams...I know better. But I look at it like I look at Boise State. Yes, your team has the talent to get up for a game and hang with/beat an SEC team. But the thing with the SEC is this. We go thru it week after week after week. You bring up UGA from years ago, we play the likes of UGA, UF, Bama, et al, every season...8 times. THIS is why I DO believe it will be a close game early. WVU will be UP for this game. LSU plays Bama better than most teams do, because they get UP for the game. How else do you explain LSU leading Bama in the 4th quarter one week, then having to struggle against LA Tech the next. Same the year before, vs Bama in OT, then having to mount a major comeback against Troy. That's also why I'm not as worried about LSU's offense as much as most are. I don't like it, but I do think it's there if needed. I wish they'd play more consistantly, but they don't. LSU plays to the level of their comp too.
I agree wvu does not play sec caliber teams week end and week out. no team does except those in the SEC. There is a reason SEC one the past four NC's Dont underestimate WVU though because no matter the end result i will guarantee they will impress you if they play anywhere near their potential

All that I know, is that WV will not get into the end zone in the first quarter, and LSU likely won't either. However, in a big game like this, the coaches will not do anything that might cause a critical mistake, leading to a turnover. WV will turn the ball over more than once. That will be the difference. Our defense is just too good. LSU by 9.
