Thats good. Lucky for him he is young and can still do a lot with his life hopefully make it back into the NBA.

Dravecky broke his arm while throwing a pitch for the Giants in 89. He obviously didn't pitch again, but while the team celebrated their NL pennant victory on the field that very same year, he managed to get his arm broken again in the midst of the chaos.

Tony Saunders broke his arm (talk about gruesome) for the DRays in 99. Broke it again in a rehab assignment in 2000 and promptly retired at 26. Canseco reported in his book that Saunders broken arm was caused by his use of steroids (they were former teammates).

Yes, Saunders must be the guy I am thinking about because I do not recall any other instances recently.

I was reading some stuff about Dravecky. I didn't realize he had battled back from cancer only to break shortly after making a comeback.

I remember watching that live when I was little. I thought I was watching some bloopers thing. One of the reasons a delay in TV could be good.

I saw that on PTI the other day and there are no words to describe the horrfic nature of it.

Hope the kid is able to have a normal life without an complications and is able to play with his grandkids if those are in his future.

He is very lucky though if there is no other damage besides the tendons and ligaments. Its been 3 and half years since I got hurt and I still dont have feeling in most of my right foot.
