listen, I realize that you republicans have a different definition of rape than the rest of the world, :p, but violation is violation. I get your point about the rest of the world but someone has to take the lead and that someone should be the US. On the other hand, I also do not favor anything drastic that will indeed be a drain on economic growth but it doesn't mean that we cannot begin to take some steps in the right direction. It doesn't mean that we should not invest in other technologies along the way when it makes sense to do so and when the proposed solution is viable.

I would love to offer a global solution but I am not familiar enough with the science of climate change to make anything close to even an educated guess. That should be left to the experts. But to completely sit on our hands and do nothing is unacceptable.

The fact that you think nothing being done is laughable.

Like I said, we already burn Coal cleaner than anyone, yet leftest tree huger would see coal gone from the US and the direction of Obama on coal tells me that we will be shipping 20% more coal overseas. This doesn't help the US or the planet.

@ the rape comment, you like to generalize way to much and being that you are a democrat, I am sure you have had a gay experience (or two) so I won't hold it against you. I know this is simply your attempt to hit on me.

    It's ok.

Even though I am a Republican, I can tolerate your gayness..

We just will never share a fox-hole together.

So, if there is not a "viable global solution" then the problem does not exist? How foolish can you get?

A problem can exist with no means to "fix" it.

I mean sure, we could cut all emissions and live off the land, but that's not viable.

    for practical purposes, yes.

whatever solution you have, and i know you are afraid to take a stand on this, is damaging. and just sends emissions overseas.

I'm glad that you agree with me. About time.

NOBODY has suggested that. However just because there is no magical cure doesn't mean that there aren't logical, affordable, and smart steps we can take to reduce the problem.

I fear nothing on this subject. I have taken you to the cleaners many times on it. Are you sure you want to try me again, d'Artagnan?

AGW is a global problem. It doesn't mean jack shit where on the globe emissions come from. Go back to school.

exactly, which one of the meany reasons americans can restrict whatever they want and it wont cut global emissions. it would hurt the global economy though, so thats nice.
