This may be the single greatest sentence I have ever read on here. Spoken like a true teacher and Tiger fan! I agree about the constant bashing of individual players. It's one thing to disagree w/coaching decisions, or point out mistakes by players, or share personal opinions. But, to constantly make it sound like DJW (and, in the past, JJ) is a horrible player as if he is purposely trying to perform poorly and sabotage LSUs success on the field, is over the top, IMO. These guys are playing major college football for the team we love, something we would all give our left nut to do (well, maybe not Stacey, LOL), and are put out there by professional coaches who think they are there best options. Be upset with the coaches, and critique their play, but stop w/the assault. Of course, this constant bashing comes from the person who seems to have a genuine need to forever see things in the "worst ever, best ever" light. Drama or histrionics seems to be his mantra. It may be a underlying personality trait. So, I guess you and Red aren't the only ones, and aren't on an island. I support the coaches decisions 100% on who they put out there b/c they base it on long-term evaluations and first hand insight on their abilities to optimize the teams success. That is a comprehensive assessment that includes multiple variables. The coaches aren't always right, but they are paid to do this and deserve our support. Having said that, I question CLMs involvement in the play calling and feel he should take more of a oversight role again, rather than being overly intimate in the pre-game strategy. Just like CJC decides the defense, and what players should be out there (including Welter), he should leave the offense to CCC, and that includes which QB starts. Of course, CLM needs to "approve it", but quit micro-managing the offense. Leave it to your coordinator.
