    Yeah, sour grapes aside, it's still a loss at a position of need for us. I don't wish him ill will, but it seems most players from either Midwest or far west don't work out for us, with Spencer Ware being the only recent exception I can think of. QBs Hayden Rettig, Gunner Kiel, and now CG all committed and left. We just shouldn't waste our time with them, IMO, unless there is an unusual connection. .

    This is the thing. He was a body at the LB and there is no way in hell he could have been worse than Welter. This will hurt for a while.

    We have zero depth at MLB right? The weakest position was lb to begin with. This isn't great.

    oh no doubt, this hurts depth-wise....no way around it. Now that you mention it SW is the only midwest or western player that I can think of, in recent memory, who have worked out.

    He was most often out of position, selling out on the drop read. Coulda been chavis taught, dunno but he was god awful against the run when he was back, out of position.
