Wow, didn't see this one coming although he sure was having trouble contributing for such a highly rated recruit. http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/12634310-123/report-lsu-five-star-linebacker-clifton
5 stars out of the north rarely means 5 stars in BR. sorry he didn't pan out and the last thing we need is a loss at LB, but after a severe lack of production from him, a scolly opens up for some talent that can produce. Good luck young man, but next...
When a "5 star" isn't playing by the 2nd year, they were not 5 star's IMO. These days to me, they rank than high, they are playing in year 1, since they should be gone after 3.
An where 3* players become 5* players! Anyone want a list of players that have left LSU and done well? What about a list of players that haven't done too well?
So he had an undisclosed injury last season that limited him but he's better now yet decides to transfer to a junior college? There is something else going on here. He's in the coaches doghouse for some reason. Grades, attitude, work ethic, who knows. The bit about him being unable or unwilling to tolerate the hot, humid Louisiana weather makes him sound like a bit of a candy-ass, but I suppose there could be something to it. We'll see if he ends up in the snow belt or not.
If I am not mistaken he came out of a very small school, like Class C. I've noticed over the years that a lot of these guys who emerge from small schools with a high ranking are often over rated. This may not be the case at all with Garrett and I wish the kid all the best but there does seem to be something to this.
