And if it does, then Auburn should be punished if it is proven they were involved, IMHO. But as of this writing, the only institution implicated in the Cecil Newton scenario is Mississippi State. Period. But despite an all-out media assault and related SEC and NCAA investigations, no such evidence has been revealed or made public. Until it is, it's not any different than the numerous allegations/rumors surrounding the recruitment of Lache Seastrunk. LSU and Auburn fans both know why both programs dropped Seastrunk like a hot potato during the recruitment process. But having knowledge of something isn't the same as having evidence of it. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone ......
This means nothing. Neither the FBI nor the NCAA publicly comment about ongoing investigations. And the NCAA will not get its bite at the apple until the feds are good and done investigating and prosecuting Bingogate and Colonial. It could take years to close the book on Cam.
It wasn't THE point. Read what u replied to. Is there anyone on this forum that doesn't believe that cam new what his father was doing, or that this could end up mirroring the reggie/USC scenario. A few years down the line...vacated title...vacated heisman? I'm not saying that it isn't relevant. It just wasn't the point of the persons statement that u responded to. No big deal
if that was the case, the charges would have been dropped. that didn't happen Harris' brother was in violation of the high school dress code by wearing a hat, and he was asked him to remove his hat by a school official. instead of removing his hat, he decided to be a jackass about it and to get in a confrontation with a law enforcement officer. Harris got involved, and there were reports of pepper spray being used. Harris got arrested and spent the night in jail for assaulting a law enforcement officer there were differing stories of how it went down, for example Harris' cousin told a story to help out Harris, of course but after officials investigated and listened to all the witnesses, both the kids and the adults, charges were pressed against Harris, those charges stuck, and Harris was convicted of his crime
I'm not saying it was the right thing to do, or that he's innocent. Many people jump into situations head first, not thinking about the repercussions of their actions. Especially in high school. Doesn't make him a bad kid. He has a rep around Eugene for being kinda wild (in a good way), but has a good heart. Tough to see kids with this much talent take it for granted. Chip handled it right by suspending him. His teammates support the decision, and Cliff. I just hope he FINALLY learns his lesson. But far to many kids like this throw it all away.
Yep. Just took a look at my post again. Walking and typing with one hand. Sorry about that. Regardless, making a point
