I think he should play...I mean, it's not like he was passing counterfeit $100 dollar bills at a casino he was too young to enter with a fake ID.

    :D

Like I said, it's up to Cliff Harris, and if he's completely truthful with Kelly. Kelly's a huge trust guy. 2 guys were either suspended (Masoli, Kiko) or kicked off the team for lying to Kelly. If he tells the truth about everything, he'll probably get on some kind of double secret probation, with strict guidelines and tiers he'll need to complete to continue playing for the Ducks.

If he doesn't play, we have good back ups. They're untested though. Redshirt freshman Dior Mathis (6.87 in the 60, 37 inch vertical leap) is a stud!

    But he's not Cliff Harris.

    No it wasn't.

    From ESPN article:

UO Employee: "So, I rented the car for my own purposes on Friday. Cliff Harris and his licensed friend, who showed me his license, asked to borrow it and paid me the full amount in cash that I paid for the rental," the woman told KEZI-TV 9, adding that she has documented proof that the friend's payment matches her payment to the rental company.

    Thanks for playing. :)

Do u understand what has happened? Just because the UO employee ( this is fact) accepted payment from said football players to cover the cost doesn't mean she isn't liable and doesn't eliminate the fact that a school employee unofficially "rented" a car to student athletes and a student athlete with a suspended license was caught driving 118 mph. Open stretch of land has NOTHING to do with it. When u r going 118 mph you only think you are in control and could have killed himself, or someone else. He is a kid and made a mistake I get it. I DO NOT wish for him to miss the game duck fans. And u should know...I promise....there aren't any players on the LSU football team that are afraid of cliff Harris. Our DB's are as good as anyone has and cut their teeth under Patrick Peterson. Cliff Harris is good but he isn't Patrick Peterson. Don't bother responding to this with asinine stats. I know DB's don't face DB's. Our skill guys on offense will not fear him. Respect but not fear. I'll take my Tigers over these ducks 6 days a week and twice on Sunday. This Harris kid is a knucklehead. This isn't his first bump in the road. Whatever. I hope he plays and that shep or rueben burn him.

Wow, You asked if he'd play, and I told you what the latest is here in Eugene. I also let you know what Chip's tendency was in the past with other discipline issues. I understand that what he did is a violation. It's perceived as an extra benefit. That's for the school and conference to settle. It's in the public eye, so it would be stupid for Oregon not to self report and handle the discipline internally to the satisfaction of the NCAA.

Is he selling dope or memorabilia? Is he assaulting anyone? No.

What it is, is a lapse of judgement by a 20 year old kid. Sure it was stupid. Never said it wasn't. But to say he's a knucklehead, when you have no idea who he is or what he's about is a bit much. All his issues have been speeding except for a MIP. I had a MIP when I was 20 (5 days before my 21st birthday), and I'm still a productive member of society. Cliff is hardly a knucklehead.

Btw, I never claimed that LSU was afraid of Harris. Who would be? He's 6' and a buck nothing. He's not an intimidator. He's not going to go out there and knock someone's block off. He'll be one player of 11 on the field for Oregon's defense.

You're claiming that because the LSU DB's "Cut their teeth" under Patrick Peterson that by osmosis, they'll be good as well? Patrick Peterson was a special breed that doesn't come along everyday. If anything, he made the players around him better on last years team.

I wouldn't expect you to take anyone but your Tigers. That's the beauty of college football. There are 120 teams (Sorry about the stat), and they all have fans that will go to hell and back with them.
