it's true. Cleveland is just a more skilled version of the lakers with 1 great player and 2-3 decent players. if the Spurs could slow down Carmello and Iverson, then the Suns, I'd think they could slow Lebron down, too.
No doubt on your points there. The Spurs will be huge favorites against the Cavs. They would be favorites against the Pistons too but maybe not as large. It's just I wasn't really thinking about the Spurs as much as enjoying Lebron's performance. And then you chime in....
i wasn't taking a shot at the thread. that was the most amazing, single performance I've ever seen since Jordan wehn he had the flu. I was just stating why I hope Detroit pulls it out.
No shot was implied. I was just messing with you over raining on my parade right after the greatest 4th quarter individual performance I've seen.
That was sick. The commentator said it best...'Jordanesque.' I mean, the dude was just throwing up the most ridiculous shots and hitting them. At some point, he knew that he couldn't be stopped and just went for broke on every possession.
The cursing I would like to do right now would offend even our most jaded members. I didn't watch the game. I wanted to watch the game. Instead of watching the game, I was studying. And then the wife was in the middle of some show she was watching so I did other stuff. I even mentioned that I wanted to watch this game if I had time. And I've been a huge Lebron guy for years. And I hate the Pistons (other than Sheed.) And a huge fan of the Association. And I still didn't watch. This night is turning very very...ummm...refer to first line of this posting.
maybe im forgetting quite a few but this game was one of the best i can ever remember as far as individual performances in the postseason. he's 22 right? i cant shake that. seems hes at least 25 by now. reminds me of andruw's first 2 at-bats in the world series at 19 in yankee stadium. i couldnt get over the fact he did that at that age nor lebron doing this at 22. he realized even though his pass to donyell was a smart play it wasnt in his control. he took control tonight just a bit. good stuff.
Dude, you got to find when this is on ESPN Classic and tivo it... especially if you are a Lebron fan. As far as him being 22, I don't pay as much attention to it. He's been in the league since 18 and the national media for a few years before that. I say it's about damn time he had a game like this.
Here are the 5 plays in order from the 4th to the 2nd OT. I loved to see Lebron silence the critics like MJ used to do.
I'm glad Marv was announcing. Unfortunately he didn't bring out the 'Gives him a facial!' call on that huge dunk at the end of regulation (play #5 on the video). That dunk was great. There's a picture in the paper today with Lebron at eye level to the rim as he throws it down.
