Sammy is a beast.... Absolutely love how he is playing right now...he has already broke one of Spillers records Wow!!! Goo Tigers!!!
1. He is a freshman 2. He plays for Clemson so no one in the media has heard of him, and if they have they don't care.
Sammy has been getting a lot of attention by the media!!! They have been talking about him non stop on espn lol!!!
He clearly is a beast. I've been following Clemson quite a bit this year. He's a freshman, so he won't get much Heisman love.
His QB too for that matter. Tahj Boyd is putting up great numbers against quality competition. It seems like he throws one pick per game, BUT, it's always accompanied by 3-4 TD's and he runs well. Nothing against Luck. He's clear cut best QB in the nation from the standpoint of draft prospects. But that doesn't mean best player in college. We know RG3 at Baylor is done, but only because of his team. He's still putting up numbers. I love what Russell Wilson is doing. Kellen Moore is performing well. Prior to Trent Richardson's huge day, the top 5 in the race were all QB's...Luck, Moore, RG3, Wilson, and Landry Jones. Trent probably hopped to the top of the heap after Saturday. Tahj Boyd and Sammy Watkins deserve to at least be in the upper tier of the next 5. Right now I'd hold my nose and vote for Richardson if I had a vote.
It was lauded again and again. I think, more than anything, is showed how extremely awful Ole Miss is this year.
I had him in my top 10 until the really off game vs Va Tech. But he's come back like gangbusters last week. He is a phenomenal true freshman. But more importanly than that, why isn't Tajh Boyd being mentioned? The QB that runs the show in which if he wasn't playing at the top of his game all year long, they would be 3-4 right now with their leaky defense. Look at these scores: 43-19 35-27 38-24 35-30 23-3 36-14 56-45 There's a Heisman candidate if I have ever seen one. 19 TDs = 4th in the nation (another 3 rushing TDs) 2012 Yds Passing = 7th in the nation 159.78 QB Rating = 13th in the nation His name has not been mentioned once in any Heisman writeup I have looked at.
