what a joke. still in denial. the hubris that got him into trouble which caused him to lie under oath to congress is still there. he said he never took anything and that he hasnt been in hiding. still doing stuff "for the kids". hes on mike and mike and they are in disbelief it sounds. hes trying to pimp his book but this isnt going well. if there was a scale of believability with 10 being the most, he scores negative. the fanbase is really going to kill him now. bad news for his book i suppose. who wants to read a book saying he did nothing. how exciting. hes also saying andy pettitte was confused when he mentioned roger and bryan mcnamee under oath. this dude is a piece of work.
That interview was pretty bad. If there was ever a time to try to change everyone's perception of him it would be with the Mike's asking him questions. Obviously he has figured he is past the point of no return and has to stick with this story. He probably convinced himself that he is innocent, which is sort of sad.
clearly he did this long ago. its unbelievable how disingenuous he sounded. if he wasnt so arrogant id feel sorry for him. also he caps it off he loves doing that charity work all the time for his friends and throwing BP to the kids. forgot to mention because hes not allowed on a MLB facility. thats awesome. does he realize how bad his timing makes him look even worse with manny, et al? he shoulda just stayed mark mcgwire and kept in hiding. his advisers are probably putting a .45 in their mouths right about now.:lol:
my sentiments exactly. i loved the guy being a red sox fan, even when i pitched in high school and rec leagues i would mimic the dude. I have no problem with the steroid use, its the lying about it, and the way he has handled this situation. I was also listening to mike and mike on the way to work, and the emails they were getting in were roasting the guy. I still think he should be inducted into the hall of fame. He was a pitcher in the steroid era of baseball. All the hitters were juiced so to leave him out because he did does not make any sense.
oh i had it backwards. hes (roger) on there trying to lessen the damage of a book being released by some other dude about him. hell, now i may read it.
This is how lawyers are born. The same mentality kept OJ on the loose for quite sometime however like OJ and OJ's book, his end is pretty certain. I wonder where the state of professional sports is going to be in 25 years? Perhaps capitol punishment for douche laden athletes can be formed into it's own sport. Oh wait...
Four New York Daily News reporters wrote it. Roger Clemens, on Mike and Mike in the Morning, bashes book, holds firm to denials of drug use - ESPN I was listening to Don Imus driving in. He ripped Clemens. I almost ran off the road when he said "That's what you get for hiring a lawyer named Rusty."
