Yeah....that "nip" has just as many wins as Mussina, Pavano and Hughes combined. ...not to mention the financial implications the Sox gain from the Japanese market....
You are aware that Clemens only saw the 7th inning a few times last year?Hasn't seen the 8th inning since '05? Hasn't seen a complete game since '03? The Yanks need middle releif, not another pitcher that forces Torre to go to the bull pen early. Part of me hopes he succeeds because I do think he's one of the greatest right handed pitchers of my lifetime, but as a Red Sox fan, the other part of me hopes his geriatric hip fails him miserably down the stretch.:hihi:
Excellent article on ESPN.com today by Scoop Jackson on Clemens the pimp: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page...0516&sportCat=mlb&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab2pos1
This just in: The Sprocket will be paid for just thinking about pitching. He will, however, NOT have to be on the bench to be thinking about pitching.
tirk not only called it right on Bonds and Clemens (and early on) but people like Gagne as well Tirk is TF's honorary steroid Guru
