It's gonna get ugly. Former personal trainer of Clemens who worked for the Yankees organization testified for the Mitchell report coming out later today at 2 PM EST.

Tirk, you were right all along.

I think these players would rather be outed as being gay at this point.

Hate to see the Rocket painted with the same brush as Bonds, Canseco, and their ilk but, if he did it, he has to accept the consequences, whatever those may be. And I don't buy the argument that it's okay because it wasn't against the rules at the time. They knew it was wrong or they wouldn't have tried so damned hard to conceal it.

As for the report, I don't know what to make of it. Considering the history of this issue, the actions or lackthereof of the owners, the commissioner, and the player's union, why should I accept a report commissioned by the sport as legitimate and unsanitized ? All said, a sad day for baseball.

Let see what Clemens' ( and others ) response to the report is. I'll reserve judgment until then. If he did cheat, well then, he's a cheater.

they will be "men" and deny everything like liars.

b/c they are more credible than a Senator an all. :rolleye33:

    I either want:

    1. the Cy Young trophies to get an asterick

    or

    2. Barry Bonds haters to shut up.

b/c they are in the same league.

We will now see how much Clemens will be vilified in the press because of this.

He won't get the Bonds treatment, because Bonds is just a purely hated individual.

Fair or not, it is what it is.

I have met and know more than a couple of people that...

    A. Hate Clemens

    B. Know he used roids. It has been pretty well known throughout the baseball community for a while. The reason no one is called out for it is because they all do it...

The organizations and all agents know it too as they need to...and everyone has known these things for decades.

Nobody comes close to Barry Bonds when it comes to hatred of the guy.

i started hating roger clemens once I realized in every important game (postseason) he fakes an injury when he is getting lit up. It happened again this year. I called it before it happened, again, which was pretty funny.

Not only that, he, like barry was better at age 38 than when he was age 30.

that is not possible without a lot of help.

not against the best of the best in the world in sport. but since everyone was on roids and now on HGH like I figured all along I guess it balances out. the entire era is one big asteriSk.

I can still hate bonds' fathead just the same. he deserves it all plus some.

no sport is clean. if US sports went to international testing for drugs, no one would pass and we would see all were "cheating". To think athletes arent doing everything within their power to get their slice of the pie in multibillion dollar revenue sports its naive at best.

many of these guys, especially baseball, dont even have shoes growing up overseas. of course they are going to do everything within their power to make millions for their family if possible. its not cheating to them as much as its providing great wealth for their families.

and the same goes for any other athlete within the US but to a lesser degree. athletes are far too competitive with limited shelf-life for us to think its not going to happen from now til the end of time by the majority.

whether its detectable by science or sport will be the only question.
