I like the rugers have a redhawk and blackhawk both in .44mag. Main gun I open carry though is ruger stainless P90 .45. Of course those are all hard to conceal. To conceal carry right now I have a small .38 that was my grandpaws don't even know what brand it is. I been watching for a xds 45 for concealed carry but I ain't payin what they want for them. Buddy just got a compact 1911 .45 to conceal and that's a fine little gun but again I ain't payin that kinda money.

you can buy a 9mm barrel for it for less than 100 bucks and a g19 or g17 mag and you have another gun.

Anyone seen or used the Kimber Super Carry Pro? Looks like a fine weapon. but I'm thinking of getting my wife the Beretta Nano. 6 and 1, nothing to snag on clothing, but I've read you have to use a higher grain ammo.

You might want to look at the Smith & Wesson Lady Smith for the wife. 38 special 6 shot revolver with an enclosed hammer so it won't snag on her purse

beautiful gun but lots of jams (ftf) I heard, which is about the biggest negative you can have. apparently theres a break-in period. Like 500 rds. if you pay 1300-1600 for a pistol it should be ready to fire out the case. at least this is what i found out when I was looking at buying one. some say its the kimber mags but that didnt work for some. they had to send it in to change the extractor.

I bought a taurus pt911 9mm a few years ago which is one of my cheapest yet favorite pistols. And its never failed and feels great. the grips are the best.

anyhow, the berretas are reliable so the nano is not a bad choice.

id probably opt for an m&p shield 9mm or sigp938 or p239 if its something for your wife to carry. id stick with the 9mm since the stopping power thing is sorta bullshit and you got more rounds to put into someone than a higher caliber. ive got a .380 but probably wouldnt buy another one unless it was a walther pk. that might be the best one to get her if shes not familiar with handguns. comfort is more important than caliber if she cant handle it.
