We are full open carry in MS and I carry both concealed and open often depending on situation. If I'm goin to a crowded type place where there will be families or just a crowd in general then I conceal but if I am floundering the beach or something along those lines where anyone I'm likely to run in to will be someone doing something similar or someone I should be concerned about what they are doing then I carry open as I want them to know what the result of that could be. Of course I open carry at all times in the woods which I am in a good bit it for snakes, hogs, or meth heads never know what you will come across in a national forest or out in the river bottom of some corp land.

Don't you worry about getting salt water on your gun when you're floundering? Unless I'm in a boat I leave my gun in the truck while I'm fishing. The people you run into fishing are mostly pretty cool. The only real assholes are the ones you see while boat fishing who will pull right up to your spot and scare the fish that you have been catching.

Well floundering I am usually in only ankle to knee deep water right off the bank. Don't worry in the bay or bayou so much bc either you have to get there by boat or it's very hard to get there so not concerned to much there. But on the beach anyone can and will just walk out to you easily. Just about every night I get approached by someone usually out of town folks wondering what I'm doin but you never know. Bout a week ago a buddy of mine was going floundering off gulfport beach and as he was getting his stuff ready 2 younger prob mid 20s black guys pulled up behind him. They just sat there at first but as he was headed to the water one of them tried to slip up behind him but luckily he saw him and got turned to face him with his gig. The guy said he man you like playin knock out? Buddy said no but if you take another step I'm gonna put this gig through your chest. Guy laughed and ran off jumped in car and they peeled off. Called law they pretty much said yea they been doin that lately. Same week another guy was approached by 2 again mid 20s white guy's and they tried to force him out of the water but he just kept easing out deeper and they finally gave up and left. As far as the gun in the salt nah like I said its shallow and wipe it down before and after every trip.

    There's a Glock ad in here. :D

The gun I keep in my boat is a stainless steel GP100.

My first handgun was a Ruger Security 6 357 magnum revolver. Have never had a bit of trouble with it

Just an odd quote from @lsutiga who has such a hard on for gloc to post something about a far superior weapon. Maybe the lad is catching on.

I love the Ruger revolver but I have a Glock 40 too. It fits my hand a lot better than either Ruger or S&W autos

Yeah revolvers and semis are like apples and oranges.

I like other handguns besides Glock it's just hard to buy something else knowing my life could depend on it. Glocks go effin bang when you pull the trig.

I am tempted to get an M&P Shield for conceal carry. The single-stack is much slimmer than the double-stacked Glock.
