No doubt, especially if you ever sat next to me. Funny how most people are okay knowing people may be carrying concealed but if they see someone open carrying it triggers a fear of sorts, myself included.
Depends where you are. When I was in college, my parents were stationed in Maine which has always been an open carry State. I would go hunting and carry a sidearm as back up for black bears. To get to some of the public areas you would have to go through some small towns and park and walk. It was also nice to be able to walk in to the local "gas station, restaurant, hunting store combo" and not have to unholster when getting some coffee. The problem there was if you accidently covered it up with a jacket you could get in trouble. They recently fixed that. In cities however, I agree with you.
its like snakes. theyre everywhere but its not like you freak out thinking about them until you see one.
If you wanted to get laid you took women to see Body Heat and a tedious bunch of romcoms. If you wanted to get high with your chums and shake off some of that foolishness, you went to see an escapist adventure like Star Wars.
Sam Elliot as Virgil Earp "We aren't saying you can't own a gun, we aren't even saying you can't carry a gun, we're just saying you can't carry a gun in town". I mean honestly, anyone who thinks having a bunch of open carry people out in the population is a good idea needs their head examined. What happens when 2 people get in an argument and just start blasting at each other. It's bound to happen.
Happens every day anyway. Read the news. I don't want to walk around with a .45 strapped on like Marshall Dillon but if i wanted to I could.
I agree for the most part. It just draws police attention to you and says "fuck with me". And freaks a lot of meek people out. Plus gives a low-life the opportunity to grab your gun. I strap on a revolver if I'm in snake country. And I've clipped the PPK onto my belt a time or two when stopping at a rest area late at night. Some low-budget low-lifes hang around after midnight. I want them to know I'm armed and dangerous. An easier victim will come along soon. Otherwise its in a pocket … or the truck … or the briefcase . . . or at home. But carrying a shotgun to the A&P just because you can is fucking stupid.
Yeah it does with gangs mostly. But Joe Citizen and Frank Citizen arguing at Christmas over the last tickle me Elmo and then we have a tragedy at the toys r us.
For a tickli me Elmo it would be Susie citizen and sally citizen while Joe and frank waited for them in a bar
